A downloadable game for Windows

Dynmix and his party member Zektion join the Adventurer's Guild, and receive an important quest about finding a magical gemstone. But everything changes once they get their hands on it, since an evil cult is after it as well. Embark on an exciting journey, meet new interesting characters, and unleash your skills in battle.

This RPG is around 3-4 hours long, and brings you to different places. From a dark cave with a goblin boss, to a magical forest enhanced by a fey, and even to the king's castle and its dungeons. It has a mix of serious, funny, and romantic moments and it took over 120 hours to make.

You can download this game for free, and I made it with RPG Maker MV and its assets. I have some experience in writing and storytelling, also in D&D as a DM, and I always wanted to make this project passion for fun. Please let me know in the comments if you liked it after playing it!

So I've played Final Fantasy 8 and missed out on FF1 back in the day. Eventually played it but wow this game gives me serious Nostalgia. The optimize button is so helpful to get back into the game quickly. The writing is full of humor and the little Easter eggs has me clicking every nook and cranny.  The Music also is brilliant!

I am enjoying it enough to feature it on my YT channel.

Thank you for your kind words, as well as doing a playthrough on your channel! :)

This was good! Fairly short, fun, liked the dialogue, felt like an actual D&D game really

Thanks again for playing it, reviewing it and providing feedback! Already implemented some you gave, like more magic variety for enemies and bosses (including the final one).  Anyway, I'm glad you had a fun experience and that you liked the story! :)

I rate it 7.5/10 but I gave it 4 stars

Pretty good for a first attempt. A nice short experience, took me about 5 hours, the story is wholesome, the premise is kinda like dragon quest 11 .  Dialogue is a bit rough around the edges, a few words don't fit the fantasy theme and it can be cheesy at times, but otherwise it's good

Gameplay works well, it's a bit easy but the locations and dungeons are well made and the game is well balanced, they are well mapped except for the overworld which is small and kinda pointless honestly

Few suggestions:

  1. Replace the default faces with custom ones using the character generator
  2. Change later blacksmith interaction by making it one text box than a choices menu, would make it less tedious
  3. Since this is MV, you can make Zektion dual wield, by going into the database than actors than traits than equip, look for the slot type option and you can make him dual wield,
  4. Spelling is good, only one mistake I saw,  it's "apparently" not "appearently".
  5. Remove the waiting times between missions,  like with the inn, the fey  repairing the gemstone and so on and so forth you can just make it fade  out to black and then fade in,  just for convenience sake.

Thanks for your rating and your feedback! I incorporated some of your points I agree with, like implementing dual wield for Zektion, and changed appearently to apparently where I saw it. I do like some downtime between missions myself, but too much can be a bit tedious, so I reduced the waiting time for the Grand Fey by half.  :)

A staple old-school wholesome RPG adventure.

Be a gentleman and keep knocking on your neighbor's door.  ;)

This is a pretty well done RPG Maker game using the default assets, I liked it a lot.

Thanks for playing it, and for letting me know!

World design is good, I thought it was cool.

I mean the placement of all the interior walls and trees, I think it was well done in a way that made it look good.

Thanks a bunch for sharing your thoughts!

I've been seeing your RPG Maker pop up in my Steam, been wondering when you'd make it official. Downloading now, will get to play it later after work.

Edit: Alright. I couldn't wait that long. I'm really happy to see you've implemented your sense of humour into the game and I'm still laughing at and wearing my 'Lucky' underwear that I'd found.... even if it is a bit smelly. XD
